Origins: My first interaction with fashion was in 2009 when I was 6 years old. I would cut and design clothes for my action figures out of paper, which later evolved to using old clothes. This experience allowed me to naturally learn the art of cut, sew, and trim—a valuable introduction to the world of fashion.

Heritage: My great-grandfather was an artist himself—he created clay sculptures, designed furniture, and even designed suits. Now I see my artistic craft in a new way—it's my heritage. Thus, I want STANDARD to be a legacy, one started by my great-grandfather, and one I will continue.

Philosophy: The way I do things is in no way traditional. My general design philosophy is that "true beauty lies in simplicity." However, at the core, I believe in a philosophy called "evolution." This philosophy is constantly visible across the entire STANDARD Universe, from the evolution of our designs from day one to the evolution of our brand story.

Purpose: "Creating and defining the Status Quo"—our sole purpose. STANDARD dresses the individuals who are setting new standards across various industries, embodying the evolution of style and success.

“Making a successful luxury brand in nine years is genius. It’s a feat that I admire and hope to continue building upon with a rich legacy. He revolutionised streetwear and luxury that crosses generations and decades. He showed the world that the underrepresented, the underdogs and Black people, in particular, have brilliant minds and can push and compete equally in the establishment. He inspired hope and brought about change.” - Ibrahim Kamara, Art&Image Director Off-White™
